We are currently managing several exciting projects in the central Pacific region, where we are responsible for quality assurance, planning control, and construction supervision of maritime measures. Support our international team in protecting coastlines, modernizing infrastructure, and developing sustainable solutions for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as Resident Engineer is to provide overall technical assistance for projects and related activities, from planning to implementation, monitoring, and maintenance. The main activities consist of:

  • Supporting Team Leader to coordinate the project team during construction stage
  • Managing all technical aspects of the project implementation
  • Reviewing the designs provided by contractors under Design and Build contracts
  • Leading construction supervision under FIDIC contracts
  • Supervising and monitoring all construction activities
  • Contributing to claim and dispute prevention/resolution
  • Checking variations and preparing variation orders
  • Capacity-building for client’s staff etc.

What we expect from you:

  • M.Sc./M.Eng./B.SC./B.Eng. in Civil Engineering preferably with post graduate qualification in maritime structures engineering, or a related field
  • Min. 15 years of experience in design and construction supervision of civil works (which min. 5 years in maritime structures engineering with FIDIC contracts)
  • Good knowledge of international and regional regulations related to environment and social safeguards
  • Good knowledge of relevant design norms and construction standards, including for small building construction
  • Experience in developing countries on similar assignments (or in Central Pacific region as an added advantage),
  • Experience in client’s capacity building as an added advantage,
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English (and in German as an added advantage)
  • Integrity and cultural awareness
